Testimonials

“Muay Thai training has been an effective way to keep me in top mental and physical condition (and by far the most effective weight loss method without side effects!). Many people think that you need to be very athletic to take up Muay Thai...that's not true as I was never into sports in my entire life!

Master Chan is a very experienced and careful instructor who uses proper instructional methods and knows exactly what is the limits that one can be stretched to. I have just successfully completed Muay Thai Level 1 Grading by Master Chalee and am now looking forward to start on Level 2 training.”

“I have been training in Muay Thai for 3 plus years with Thomas Chan. He is a very good instructor. I have learnt lots of things from him. And now i find myself healthy and very disciplined. After joining Muay Thai, i don’t fall sick at all and is definitely physically fitter than before!”

Total cardio workout. Hence this will lead to losing weight, which is an extremely favourable word for ladies... Subtle enough for a lady to learn especially Self-defence.

Overall mental and physical endurance. You understand your body better and knows how you can push your body and your mind to the limit.

Weight training exercise. It's different from what most gyms can offer.. I should say in some ways, it is better cos you really get the one on one training session and advise which will prove to be useful for toning your body.

A place to meet more people... need I say more.. it's a place where you get to meet people who share the same interest as you, exchange notes on punching, kicking etc etc.. and to complain how tough training is but we all know deep down we really enjoy what we are doing.. It's good to go for training and see some familiar faces and you know that you are not alone. It's not as monotonous like running on a tread mill in the gym. You get different set of work outs for each training. It's fun because you dun know what to expect each time you go for training.

“Muay Thai is a good, all-rounded cardio exercise, which really sweat me out! The warming up exercises like general stretching, hip rotating and skipping help to get my heart rate up, at the end of these I'm already sweating! At the end of each set of punching, jabbing and kicking, I'm usually tired and ached. However, my whole body is still humming with adrenaline and urging me to go on and for more power for the next set. Thus it's also a good form of endurance training for me.

I also found this exercise to be very therapeutic, a good source to 'air out' my stress and frustration from work. Whenever I do each kick or punch I can feel my body becoming more relaxed. After 2 months of training, I also realized that I have lost a fair bit of weight, my body is also more toned and shapely. Most importantly, I feel my stamina has gradually improved!”

I was introduced to Kick Boxing with Thomas Chan in August 2004 as an alternative to my current training schedule.I have found the training with Thomas extremely enjoyable and it has added variety to my training routines. The sessions always differ and are carried out to accommodate your current fitness and skill level. My 13 year old son now also attends with me. The sessions provide a good cardio vascular work out and at 42 years of age, it gives me a great opportunity to train with my son.

I really enjoy doing Muay Thai. It’s a 3-in-1. It’s a good cardio workout, it helps to tone your body and you learn self-defense as well. I do it at RTF, with an excellent trainer, James. He works you out like there’s no tomorrow.

Having trained at Royal Thai fitness for over 1 year, I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

The atmosphere and the trainers are friendly and the training is great in terms of covering all the aspects of what I want to achieve, improve my fitness, stamina and strength together with learning a martial art. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to achieve any or all of the above.
